Download a ready-to-run package from Assets below. No source build is required.
| Platform | Download | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | GBAx-2.0.0-windows-x64.zip | Windows 10/11, x64 |

Windows: extract the complete ZIP, then run GBAx.exe. Keep the bundled DLLs and folders alongside it. Linux: mark the AppImage executable and launch it. If FUSE is unavailable, use APPIMAGE_EXTRACT_AND_RUN=1. Mac: choose your processor type and drag GBAx into Applications.
The Mac packages are ad-hoc signed test builds, not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized. macOS may block them or display a security warning. This preview is provided for testing.
All four native builds and their deployed runtime checks passed. Linux also passed 25 test groups. Automated checks do not replace gameplay, audio, controller, save-state and fullscreen testing on real desktops.
Includes GBA/GB/GBC emulation, SDL audio/controllers, ZIP/7z support, background artwork downloads, screenshots and save states. Automatic updates, FFmpeg recording, Lua scripting and Discord presence are disabled in this release profile.
Matching source, dependency notices, SHA256SUMS.txt, a downloads manifest and package-check reports are included. Games and BIOS files are not supplied as part of the executable packages.
Report issues at https://github.com/gbaxemulator/GBAx/issues and include your operating system and processor type.
