How backups and restores work
In-game saves are your cartridge-style progress. Save states capture an exact moment and require the same browser core version.
Your earlier browser saves remain in the player. Open their original game and choose “Back up in-game save” to add them here. To import a raw .sav or .srm file, start the matching game and open its Save backups panel.
Imported backups are stored here until you restore them from the matching game. Importing does not overwrite a running game.
This library stays on this browser. Clearing site data can remove it; it is not cloud storage. Local game files are not uploaded or retained.
Storage, history & privacy
History, playtime, collections and backup files stay in your browser. Catalogue game IDs are sent to this website to retrieve public titles and artwork. Local filename matching happens on your device; filenames and game bytes are not sent. Active playtime excludes paused or hidden gameplay.
Storage protection depends on your browser and does not replace downloaded backups. Clearing history keeps favourites, collections, backups and the emulator’s saves.
